CrewCare Announced as JEMS Hot Product at EMS Today

LAKEVILLE, MINN. [June 7, 2018] - ImageTrend, Inc. is honored to announce that CrewCare, the company’s groundbreaking new free mobile app focused on mental health awareness, has been selected as a JEMS Hot Product at EMS Today 2018. CrewCare was developed out of the growing need for greater awareness concerning mental health in the first responder industry.

CrewCare was selected by a panel of EMS Today judges who reviewed other industry-influencing products at the expo, held in Charlotte, NC earlier this year. CrewCare and the other winners selected as a Hot Product appear in the June issue of JEMS.

“We are very proud that CrewCare has been recognized as a Hot Product at EMS Today, as mental health awareness is such an important topic. We hear stories daily of the need for more first responder resiliency education and tools like CrewCare. At ImageTrend, we are committed to supporting the needs of the industry through all of our products and solutions”, said Joe Graw, COO of ImageTrend.

The first responder industry routinely faces factors that play a role in mental health. Issues such as anxiety, burnout, depression, PTSD and suicide are all too common among the EMS community. The goal of the app is to provide knowledge and insight about these stressors and their associated factors. CrewCare allows for the collection of aggregated, non-identifiable data that can be used for identifying crew stress, making organizational improvements and contribute to industry-wide research.

The app’s users anonymously track information about stress in their life, engagement, mood and other associated activities. Using the app, participants will instantly receive results in charts and graphs that give them an overall view of their own stress over time, including how they compare to others within their industry. The mobile app, which is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play, also offers links to relevant topical resources to help manage stress, mental health support or crisis contacts.

While CrewCare is available to all first responders, the app is also able to assist organizations, associations and states looking for insight into a collective view of their crews’ aggregate and anonymous information that can allow for further strides in improving mental health.
