First Annual Hooley Awards Recipients Demonstrate Innovation, Service

LAKEVILLE, MINN. [July 31, 2015] - ImageTrend, Inc. announces the award recipients of the 1st Annual Hooley™ Awards dinner. The Hooley Awards were created to recognize ImageTrend clients for their contribution of innovation and excellence in their industries, as well as in the communities they serve. Among the distinguished nominations, five finalists were selected to represent each of three categories. These finalists were honored at the ImageTrend Connect Conference, in Saint Paul, Minn. and award recipients received special recognition.

Innovation Award

To recognize those using ImageTrend products in a new or innovative way to meet the needs of their service, department, state or hospital.

Finalists:

  • Captain Michael Wedell: Ontario Fire Department, California
  • Molly McLagan: River Falls Fire Department, Wisconsin
  • Melissa Belgau: Washington Department of Health
  • Winner: Peggy Huddleston, Nicole Gamm, Arlinda Kinkead: Missouri Time Critical Diagnosis Team
  • Michelle Stafford: ProClaims Medical Billing

Representing the Missouri Time Critical Diagnosis Team, Peggy Huddleston accepted the Innovation Award for developing a registry for head and spinal cord injury reporting in non-trauma centers.

Service Award

The Service Award considers how agencies are using data to further the safety of their community or reach community goals. It acknowledges the fact that data is boundless and can be used in any number of ways for the benefit of society.

Finalists:

  • Winner: Emory EMS: Emory University
  • Bruce Evans: Upper Pine River Fire Protection District, Colorado
  • Joe Moreland: Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services
  • Todd Donovan: Derry Fire Department, New Hampshire
  • Jon Powers: Maine EMS

Emory EMS was the recipient of the Service Award for using data collection and teamwork to identify and contain the spread of disease during a norovirus outbreak.

New Frontier Award

Services, departments, states and hospitals are going above and beyond the call of duty. ImageTrend recognizes those who are breaking new ground or serving in a humanitarian way.

Finalists:

  • Patrick Sennett: Advocate Good Samaritan EMS
  • Anne Vossbrink: Arizona Department of Health Services
  • Don Rice: Nebraska DHS EMS
  • Fire Investigations Team: Mississippi State Fire Marshal’s Office
  • Winner: Community Integrated Health Program: East Baton Rouge EMS

Bryant Hernandez of East Baton Rouge EMS accepted the New Frontier Award for the implementation of a community integrated health program based on EMS service providers.

The Hooley Award judges include industry leaders and media professionals to independently rank nominees.
